3D puffed heart necklace and earrings

Being connected to the jewelry business in some form or another for over 40 years, I decided to re-enter the creative end after I have been retired for almost a year.

The 3D puffed heart is hand made from artillery brass, by soldering 2 halves together. I then added a brass wave to drop it from and added three small heart charms.

Overlaying the puffed heart is a copper colored faceted heart charm. Dropping from the puffed heart is a hematite charm and a pewter heart charm from that. All brought together on a silver plated chain.

I also did a clip earring to go along with the necklace. The top of the earring is hand cut and formed from copper that I then heat treated to give the mottled effect that you can see.

From that I dropped a hematite charm, and from that a mother of pearl and the pewter heart at the bottom.

Very nice Charles. I love the simplicity of just having a chain not alot of beads on the necklace itself. It really makes the pendant stand out and be the star of the show. So I Love it.

Welcom back Charles to the beading world. Your necklace is right up to date and placing it on a silver chain is something I wouldn't have though of. It has a very fresh look.
I love using the multi/repitition of hearts as you have done. It is a lovely piece.
I hope you enjoy being back in the fray. Kate
