A Mixture of Earrings and Other Recycled Jewelry

by Ann McIntyre
(United Kingdom)

Working with different materials gives you the inspiration to make something out of nothing.

All these items were mostly from 1950s - 1960s era loose beads, broken chains, just an old collection of vintage gems.

I think the most important thing about upcycled jewelry is it is so unique.

When you put your creativity to work and your heart is in it nothing should stop you creating your own unique gems, preserving them for the future.

There are wonderful things you can make with vintage broken gems.

Thanks.

Up-cyceled for a New Look
by: Maryanne Murphy

Hi Anne,

I just love what you have done with bits of this and that, and how beautiful and NEW your jewelry styles are!

It takes great vision to take usable pieces of vintage and other types of jewelry and turn them into stylish pieces for today's woman.

I just adore your last necklace, on the right.

Thanks so much for sharing your art with us.

Recycled treasures

Wonderful updated looks, with a just a hint of a vintage twist from these upcycled components. Thanks so much for sharing this collection, Ann! I agree with Maryanne, it takes great vision to see what might be when we look at older pieces of jewelry!
