When I am making earrings, necklaces, or bracelets, I have found that the addition of bead caps really brings new attention to the bead and turns a plain bead such as a pearl into something that pops.

Different styles of bead cap create different effects from dainty and elegant to more classic and bold designs.

So try out a variety of styles - filigree, antique-finish, flower designs, etc. - and see what beautiful eye-catching jewelry you can make!

Bead Caps - POP!

Thank you for your article. I've recently discovered that using bead caps on some of my designs is really eye catching.

I just had a woman ask me over and over if I was using a special head pin. Somehow I finally convinced her that I had added a small (very small) round striated "bead cap" to the ball head pin. The stone was a beautiful oblong Christmas green aventurine with gold findings. This punched my design up 1000%.

What I have found interesting is that a bead cap that can be to large, and can drown out the effectiveness your bead. I love the look using (3mm) caps have on my hand wires beads-it gives a nice finished look.
