Art Necklace Lady with Poppies Oil Painting

by Nancy van den Boom
(Uitgeest, The Netherlands)

Miniature oil painting necklace

Miniature oil painting necklace

Miniature oil painting necklace Antiqued metal frame with lovely lady surrounds this tiny oil painting

This is wearable art. The Lady overlooking this wonderful field of Red Poppies under a clear blue sky.

This sterling silver pendant hangs on an antique coloured silver chain (51 cm, 20 inches) with lobster clasp.

The pendant measures 5 x 4 cm (2 x 1.6 inches). Sterling silver mark is stamped in back of the pendant.

I loved making this miniature painting for the purpose of wearable art.

Thank you for watching.

This is very different. You are using your jewelry making skills and your painting skills to create a wonderful very different necklace. I really like it.

Dear Ladies who commented on the art necklace....
thank you so much for the wonderful comments, but reading your comments I realised I should have mentioned in the description, that I purchase the frames I use for my paintings. Without describing this I understand the assumption I made the frame myself. Knowing I don't make them and I focus on oil paintings, does not mean the audience knows this without my mentioning, I learn from this experience and I will be more attentive to give a complete description with my works.
I just wish I had the skills to be the jewelrymaker/silversmith of this awesome frame.
I found it in a little shop in Haarlem, the Netherlands.
Making such a frame myself for an oilpainting would be the ultimate combination for me.

I hope you still like the necklace with this knowlegde and I send my apologies for the incomplete description.

best wishes,
Nancy

Beautiful

This is a beautiful way to display your miniature paintings. It is truly "wearable art" whether or not you created the frame.
