Bangle Bracelets in Yellow Green Camo Design

Yellow Green Camo Bracelets

The outside of the bracelets is a silky smooth, abstract large leaf or snakeskin pattern in dark sage green, yellow/green and white/silver. They are not painted!

The patterns were achieved using the ancient Japanese layering technique, mokume gane adapted to polymer clay. 12-16 layers of repeating clay colors are stamped. The top layer is then shaved smooth, revealing an interesting pattern of colors. The inside is a textured brown clay.

I created these bangles using Karin Breukelman's excellent Bangle Bracelet tutorial (www.etsy.com/shop/karinbr).

Stunned...just amazing work with familial results. I am still in jewelry infancy to have never seen anything like that before done with polymer clay.

There is just so much that can be done with so many beautiful materials...I feel like a kid in a candy shop and want to go to jewelry camp:)

I cannot believe the prices of the bracelets...I would have guessed $40-$70...I'm not telling yo'all...go l@@k.

What I don't get your being on Etsy since 2008 with 49 sales. Your work is stunning. At any price...so where are you selling???? Are you selling? You HAVE to be selling!!!

Maryanne, play around with polymer clay! Just a warning though...it's addictive. I have been working with it for years now and I'm always learning something new.

Thank you for your comments about my pricing. I know my prices are low, but I've been trying to compete with the thousands of jewelry shops on Etsy! I opened my shop in 2008, but really started filling it at the beginning of 2010 (I wish I could change that date). I did okay selling this past spring, but then the sales completely stopped (economy?). Thanks for FB and Tweeting. I too need to do more of that. :)

Me being me, after I wrote you the second time went back to your shop...because if your aren't selling I don't know who is. Sooo I checked your feedback and assumed what you had mentioned. I am glad to see 49 sales in the past year and not since 2008!!!

I tried to write you but Etsy wasn't working last night..will try again.

I do understand about not only the competition but just being found is a big deal. Is this the first time you posted here? I firmly believe that what Rena offers us on her sites is an amazing opportunity to be "found" I highly suggest that you Tweet this page and post it to your FB. Rena gives this amazing platform...but we have to USE it.

Marketing is extremely time consuming, but no matter how beautiful one's work is and how reasonable it is priced, lots, and lots of people have to see it...but you must be doing something right, because I think your sales have been great! I have a small Etsy shop and I've heard that most everyone's sales are down there. ArtFire is where I'm posting all of my jewelry because it is less expensive (I'm trying to get to 200 pieces) and the longer your item is listed the better you show in the search engines.

Oh...you can also post your work to Etsy's FB site. I done that with both, and ArtFire picked me up and THEY tweeted on of my listings!
