Embellished Bracelet
Over the years I have collected several strands of stone and shell chips. The question was, "What can I do with these chips that would be new and different?"
I have made several designs using peyote stitch, either one drop for two drop, and embellished the bracelets in different manners.
It occurred to me that I could embellished a bracelet base with chips.
Chips strung on beading wire for necklaces do not present the design challenge of hiding the hole.
But certainly, a one bead picot would do the trick. This would turn the chip on its side, flat on the top of the bracelet.
This removed the possibility of clothing getting caught on the chip.
I decided to match the design element of the bead on top of the chip to the base of the bracelet to bring the design together.
A beaded toggle continued the theme, and of course, beaded toggles always match perfectly.
