Butterscotch Drops

by Cathy Cooley
(Bryan, OH, USA)

It was love at first sight when I saw these tortoise beads and wanted to use them in something special.

I love wire work and this was only my second attempt to create something with this technique.

18 gauge silver plated brass wire was used on a wire jig to create the swirls. The beads were strung on silver plated fancy headpins.

The pictures were taken with a little Nikon digital point and shoot camera (I have since upgraded to a Sony).

I prefer to do my photo shoots outdoors whenever possible.

Very pretty!

Butterscotch and curves

I really like the groovy, curvy wirework. It adds a nice handmade touch, and bit of a dynamic look to these butterscotch beads. Very nice.

I especially like your photo with the sky as background, and the one with the earrings on the mirror.

Thank-you!

Well I think your tortoise beads has found a home because they look good together.
