This three piece set was conceived and made for a competition at one of my favorite bead shops in Sarasota Florida.
The competition was "From Zsa Zsa to Ga Ga" jewelry from vintage to modern. I picked Zsa Zsa as my inspiration! She is a very elegant lady!
I used a combination of bead weaving and stringing to accomplish my goal. There were 26 entries and were voted on by the general public.
I was very fortunate to win Best of Show. The set took me two and a half weeks to finish as the embellishment took a tremendous amount of time!
My technique was a peyote base and embellished front and back as the focal front piece of the necklace. I then attached beading wire and strung on crystals and pearls.
The bracelet was also a peyote base and teardrop beads inserted then embellished with crystals, pearls gemstone chips and gold filled beads.
The earrings were constructed on two gold filled headpins and then embellished.
I love working with gemstones, crystals and pearls so most of my jewelry is made with these. I also love working with Boro Beads an have found some wonderful artists online.
