Chained Basket Case Necklace

Chained necklace with woven copper basket pendant

I'm just learning to weave with copper wire. This is my first attempt.

It's a tiny woven copper basket (I love little baskets) with a brass handle. It dangles from a handmade chain of brass swirls and copper figure 8 links.

I added a little tie in front of the basket and hid a Clear Quartz bead inside - It adds a little weight to the basket and I thought it was a nice surprise.

It was great fun watching this little thing take shape.

I love the rustic woven basket with a tiny treasure inside (and the "basket case" name)! Also, your handmade chains are always as interesting and artistic as your pendants. Thank you for posting this inspiring woven basket piece!
