Confetti Cuff

The confetti bracelet has been my solution for using up the odds and ends that seem to accumulate on my work table.

The frame for this bracelet is similar to one I learned to make several years ago in a wire working class but has since gone through many evolutions.

Constructing the frame isn't too difficult but does require a fairly strong pair of hands as it is made with 12 gauge copper wire that has been textured.

No great planning goes into the bead design. I usually decide on a color scheme.... warm or cool, gaudy or subdued, monochromatic or complementary and go from there.

The beads are generally strung with 24 gauge wire. However, I have used 26ga and 22ga but 24ga seems to give the best results.

This particular design with the many different colors has been quite popular because it goes with almost any color of clothing.

Confetti Cuff

How could anyone not be cheerful with this burst on color on her wrist? I love the multi-color effect, and the warm copper wire pulling it all together. Lots of appealing wire wraps and curves.

What a lovely way to use up your leftover beads!

Thanks for sharing this colorful, upbeat cuff design with us. It's very well named!

I really like this bracelet - as you said, it can go with so much in a wardrobe, and use up beads, besides. I also like the fact that each one will be different, which maintains that "one-of-a-kind" feeling people want when buying handmade.
