Copper Coils Bib Necklace

Copper Coils Bib Necklace

Inspired by the thoughtful suggestion made by Rena regarding my Variations on a Theme bracelets, I created this necklace. It has no Egyptian coils but I did adopt the bib idea.

Thank you Rena for your vision!

After creating this piece, I thought it looked like coins that had fallen out of a fishnet. There are several links going up the sides which are separated by short lengths of coiled wire. The clasp is a handmade, copper hook and eye clasp, of course.

I am also working on a variation of this necklace in brass.

Thanks again Rena for your kind, insightful comments and for this site.

Coins in a fishnet
by: Rena

Zoraida! You took my small comment to fabulous heights with this beautiful, creative design!

I love the fishnet and coins interpretation, and how they are each an important part of the design. And the way you formed the net into a bib is really neat.

Love your creative use of wire throughout this piece.

Thank you so much for sharing this lovely wire necklace here. (And for your kind words!)

As Rena said, I'm amazed that you can take one comment from your previous creations and come up with this! A perfect example of challenging yourself. All of the elements come together beautifully. Congratulations.
