Hardware store copper washers
I recently received several tips from Making Jewelry Now readers about Harbor Freight as a source for copper washers. They sell a box of 110 various sized washers for $9.99.
What a treasure chest of jewelry possibilities!
For the earrings pictured, I hammered two washers, added pretty amethyst Czech beads, and handmade ear wires - the wire was from another hardware store.
Dipped them into liver of sulphur solution, and buffed the surfaces with OOOO steel wool.
FYI - Google Harbor Freight for store locations - or they also sell online. They do not have copper tubing or wire.
