This was my first chainmaille necklace. I was not sure if I could make chainmaille jewelry or not, so I decided to give it a shot.

I made this necklace from a tutorial that I found on the internet, and decided to add something extra to it.

This started off as a helm chainmaille necklace, and I decided that the chain was not thick enough for my taste.

I like thick necklaces and bracelets, so I created two helm necklaces and attached them together.

This is why I call it the Double Helm Chainmaille necklace.

This piece is much prettier in person, and I received a lot of compliments on this necklace.

I decided to make a matching bracelet as well.

Fantastic first chainmaille!

I would never have guessed this was your first chainmaille effort. And I really like your innovation of adding the second chain. The necklace has a lovely, frothy, lacy look thanks to your inspiration! I can see why it gathers compliments.

Thank you so much for sharing your first foray into chainmaille with us!

No one would have guessed this was a first try! This is beautiful! I've been thinking about trying chainmaille, but have been a bit intimidated. Seeing how beautiful your first one came out has me newly intrigued! May give it a go!

Good luck with your jewelry!

Thanks

Thanks Rena and Pam for your compliments. Pam, after your first chainmaille you will enjoy creating different maille; it is addictive. There are also so many tutorials on the internet to help you, so give it a shot.
