Drawer Pull Pendant

by Joan Williams
(Springfield, MO)

This necklace features three re-purposed components - a crystal bead from one of my grandma's old necklaces, a rhinestone dangle from an old earring, and the pendant itself is part of the handle from an antique dresser!

The rhinestone studded filigree bead and chain are new, but blend in well for a vintage look.

Re-purposing at its best

What a great idea to turn the drawer pull onto such a lovely piece. I will now need to start looking for old drawer pulls.

Drawer pull pendant

Neat antique-y piece, and I love how the crystals provide just the right touch of sparkle against the aged metals.

The chain is a perfect match for the drawer pull. Thanks so much for sharing this neat idea of using a nifty old drawer pull as a pendant!

Upcycled Gem

What a unique piece you've pulled together with so much personal meaning. Upscale (in vogue) and recycled equals upcyled!

Love it!

Thank you everyone, for your kind comments!
I have several other repurposed designs in the works and am excited to report that a very busy local antique store has agreed to let me sell my jewelry there!

Fantastic opportunity, Joan! I'm sure the antique store customers will LOVE your work - that sounds like a match made in Heaven! Please keep us posted on how that works out for you.
