These are some recent additions to my inventory in preparation for some Fall and Holiday Market events.

Using copper, sterling, and 14k gold filled metals, with kyanite, mystic blue quartz, fresh water pearls (with 'hope' and 'faith' charms), red velvet crystals, and olivine.

Time to get busy cookin' !!

Very pretty earrings!

How do you store them in the meantime to prevent tarnishing?

Inventory storage

Good question, Lana. To prevent tarnishing and pieces getting scratched, each necklace and bracelet are stored in individual zip lock baggies. For the earrings, I have large plastic boxes with dividers, making 9 compartments in each box. Each compartment holds maybe 5-6 earring cards. Again, reducing the amount of exposure to air reduces the oxidation problem. I can also sort by style or color to prepare for events. The storage boxes were purchased at Michaels, with their 40% coupons of course!

Baggies
by: Sarah

I use the little plastic bags for my jewelry also. I have bought those from different suppliers. I have found that some of the jewelry is still tarnishing (really bad) while in the air tight plastic bag. Is there a certain type I should be using. Since I bought from two companies, I wonder if they are of different material. I though plastic was plastic. Many thanks.

baggies

Hi, Sarah,
I use the heavier baggies that are about 3x4 inches. The earring cards fit easily into this size. They usually come in packs of 100 and are fairly cheap. Michaels also carries them. Or if you are close to a Japanese chain store called Daiso. Check on line for a store locator.
