I love the way these earrings came out. I think I must have wrapped them at least 3 different times.

I bought some half round gold filled wire and honestly I am not a fan! I much prefer the round to the half round but it ended up coming out very nicely on these.

Very nice earrings - gold is a lovely companion to the rich color of garnet.

I think your wire wraps turned out really nicely! When you have a situation where you can easily keep the flat side of the half-round wire against the surface you're wrapping, it can make delightfully smooth, even wraps. If not, you can wind up doing a lot of wrestling with it! Also, it's best if the half-round wire is soft or half-hard for easy, smooth wraps. It's much harder to make full-hard wire closely hug the item you're wrapping.

Great result! As far as doing something more than once to make sure it's right, I can sure relate. I'm also playing with round vs. half round vs. half hard vs..... Geez, with so much to learn I wish I were a cat! Those nine lives would come in handy. But it sure looks like you got the effect you were after. Nice work.

I'm a fan of this colourway, it always looks so rich. I do like the way they are warmly wrapped up in plenty of gold. These are lovely.

I love the garnet, It's one of my favorite colors. The wrap around the garnet really sets it off; beautiful work. I will check out your shop and see some of your other work as well; keep up the good work.
