Geared Octopus

Geared Octopus steampunk pendant

Geared Octopus steampunk pendant

This piece was made with a mold that I made from a brass stamping of a big octopus.

I added watch gears and gold colored ink and sprinkled it with embossing powder right before baking.

I than sealed it with Sculpy matte glaze and attached a brass filigree stamping to the back of its head. I love this piece and don't really want to part with it, but I know I will make many more in the future, and my space is only so large!

Totally cool and clever, Anne! This guy looks like a worthy adversary for Captain Nemo. I love the gears amongst all his tentacles!

Thanks so much for posting this fantastic steampunk creation.
