Since Fall is right around the corner I wanted to make a pair of earrings that was neutral enough to wear with all fall colors and came up with this design!
I clustered tiny gemstones and crystals on top of a smooth Red Aventurine Gemstone Teardrop and made little gold swirls at the bottom of my headpins which I made from non-tarnish gold craft 26 gauge wire. I used this gauge as the heavier gauges would not fit through the tiny holes of the gemstones.
I was very pleased with the results as they are not overpowering at just under two inches and can be worn with any color. The materials used were The Red Aventurine Teardrop Gemstones, Carnelian Tiny heart gemstones, Carnelian cream rondelles, and Swarovski Crystals for sparkle. I though the tiny gold swirls added interest and flash too!
I like them so much I just might keep them for myself!
