Gold Leaf Necklace

This necklace was actually made with a brooch, and I removed the pin on the back.

I placed the leaf on a chain that I already had in my jewelry box. When I saw the leaf I thought that it should be a necklace instead. I wish that I could take full credit for the entire necklace, but all I did was remove the pin on the back to create a gold leaf necklace pendant.

I still wanted to display this piece to show how recreating small detail can create such a beautiful piece of jewelry. I am not saying, "that the leaf alone as a brooch was not pretty, but I believe that it is much prettier as a necklace."
