I love bugle beads. I discovered using even count peyote stitch, that I could make a square with bugles and seed beads. I could then make a rectangle and then I could embellish it with more bugles and seeds and form a star shape.
I use 3mm bugles as the base. From that base I then add 6mm, 9mm and 12mm bugles. I didn't make them all the same but I kept to the same color family; golds, greens, bronze and cream. There are five layers in these stars. In each middle there are matte gold-filled beads.
The jump rings and trigger clasp are also gold-filled.
