I tried working with some base metal - in gunmetal color - because I had a couple of clients asking for less expensive, alternative metals.

To my surprise, it turned out rather well and I rather like its asymmetrical look and 'off' colors.

I still used sterling silver wire to connect everything and for my clasp as I didn't have any brass/gunmetal findings at the time.

Overall, I'd say it's a fun piece!

And I love the color combo and the aged look of the gunmetal.

I'm sure your customers are loving your foray into alternative metals.

I think this piece is beautiful, and I'm glad to see you using other metals that can make jewelry
more affordable. I think is perfect.

Good job!
