These earrings were designed as part of the "Operation Tackle That Bead Stash" monthly challenge. See the last picture (above) for our inspiration for the month, and visit Tackle that Bead Stash to see the other spectacular entries.

I had just received these entrancing beads from Magma beads, and the colours fit the theme perfectly.

I then matched them with some unusually cut Citrine beads that I have wanted to use for ages, along with some Amethyst rondelles.

I created the balled headpins for the Citrine from fine silver, and have suspended it all on a delicate Sterling Silver chain.

And what an interesting jewelry design challenge - taking inspiration from a "moodboard" image with a distinct color palette. You absolutely captured the colors from it for your earrings! The citrine and amethysts also bring out the wonderful colors of the focal beads.

I bet the long chains at the top give these earrings a lovely swaying motion. Also, it's a nice change to see post-style earring findings instead of hooks or leverbacks.

Did you choose the Haidea name from the asteroid?
