For the longest time I wanted to create a circular, medallion-like pendant incorporating beads with wire. I kept trying different techniques but none were just right.
While fumbling with wire I finally came up with this. Starting with a spiral and working around it, I kept adding elements to it - wires, orange jade and red coral beads.
Originally it was going to have many colored beads but the medallion was getting too big so I kept it at one row. I decided to twist the wire and curl them at the ends so that it would be smaller. It might have spiraled out of control!
It reminds me of the sun. I kept the "chain" simple with just a few Carnelian and argonite beads connected with copper links.
