Pick your image for your tile.
File back edges after glue dries.
Glue your bail on tile back (I make my own bails)
Finished tile pendant.
Things you will need:
- Glass tile
- Image for back of tile
- Exacto knife
- Adhesive(Liquitex Matte Gel makes & excellent glue, it dries transparent and creates a matte non-reflective finish
- Mod Podge(to seal and protect the back of your pendant)
- Emory board
- Jewelry Bail
- Jewelry glue (I use E-6000)
First decide what image you want to put on the back of the pendant, then place your tile on top of the image (be sure to center it where you want it) then use your exacto knife to cut out your image the same size as your tile.
Apply a thin coat of adhesive on the front side of your image (if applied to thick your image may run). Now gently place your image to the back of your tile(the slightly rough side of the tile is the back). Let dry.
When the adhesive is dry take an Emory board and file the back edges of your pendant gently to remove any overlapping edges of your image.
Now it’s time to add the Mod Podge to the back of your pendant. You will need to add three or more coats. Again add thin coats and let dry between each coat.
After tiled image is dry take your jewelry bail (find the top center of your tile) and glue it on with good strong jewelry glue. When dry you are ready to hang on the chain of your choice.
