Jeff Gordon #24

A huge Jeff Gordon fan so wanted to make a pair of earrings for "Race Day". This was my first attempt at designing my own pattern and early in my learning the brick stitch.

Clever way to honor your hero!

Tonie,

What a fun idea!

I would not have guessed this project was your first try at designing your own pattern - it's very well done, and your workmanship on these looks excellent.

I also like the way you made the top section of the earrings "mirror image", with the stripes going one direction on the left earring and the other direction on the right earring. (As an earring fanatic, I always look for details like that!)

I'll bet these spirited earrings attract a lot of attention (and well-deserved envious glances) on Race Day! :o)

Thank you for sharing your artistry here.

T Thanks to all of you for the comments, I appreciate them very much. It is always great to get positive feedback. Judy I would love to send you a pair of these earrings as a gift from one Jeff Gordon fan to another. I do not know the acceptable procedure to do this. Rena can you give me advice on this matter? Thanks.

The best way I can think of getting the two of you in touch with each other, without posting your email addresses publicly:

You can both send me your email addresses privately, using my contact form. Then, when I've heard from both of you, I'll send each of you the other's email address.

How does that sound? :o)
