Lapis cross wrapped in copper wire

I initially just made the circle with the wire then added the cross.

It looked so drab... so I spiralled the wire on the top and bottom of the cross and was still not satisfied.

I found the copper separators, C'est voila, and that's when I seem to find some kind of acceptance of my creation...

Lovely frame for the cross

It's interesting to hear how this piece evolved! I really like how it turned out - the small beads and wire-wrapping around the circle give me the impression of rays of light shining outward.
