Layered Windows Pendant

by Joan Williams
(Springfield, MO)

A friend who owns a local bead store gets these amazing bronze parts like this square piece one off of old light fixtures and they're great for making pendants!

First I coated scrapbook paper with resin and glued it to the back of the piece so the design would show through the "windows".

Then I bent a large cross shaped filigree to fit over the front and added an old watch face, a verdigris butterfly charm and a brass swallow, and glued on a few crystals for sparkle.

This pendant was rather time consuming but great fun to make!

Fascinating pendant!
by: Rena

What a neat combination of colors, metals, and elements! It could almost be a story necklace, with endless tales to tell about what is going on between the window, bird, butterfly, clock, and jewel. Thank you for posting this fascinating pendant here!
