I love blue beads and I'm kind of an impulsive buyer, when I saw a bowl full of these nice light blue glass beads at he shop my brain was still elaborating the question: "what can I do with them?" than my hand was already filling a bag....but then I put the beads on the stand-by box for a while because I had no idea how to use them.
When creating my last summer collection for a local fair I came up with this necklace and you know what? That's absolutely my favourite piece so I decided to keep it for myself. Every time I wear it I receive a lot of compliments and I'm always proud to say that I made it, I must confess that when I walk around and I see women throwing sidelong glances at it I rejoice a little...
Blue and silver beads are individually wired, than I put them on steel wire and connected it to a round chain, it takes a lot of time but I'm happy with the result.
I hope you like it as much as I do!

PS: the piece is named after a popular Italian song named "Le mille bolle blu" (= a thousand blue bubbles), performed in 1961 by Mina, it's not her best song but it fits my necklace!!!
