Legend Earrings

Some of the coolest things chain maillers work with are called scales. Usually, they're made of aluminum or steel and used for making armor. I made these scales from PMC, patterned them, forged them and turned them into earrings. Fun!

Thanks for explaining about scales. Never heard of these before, but really love how they are used in these earrings. Beautiful texture and I'm betting they have great movement too.

They absolutely have movement - really fun to wear. If you go to Chainweavers.com, BlueBuddha.com or TheRingLord.com, you can see more scales. Chainweavers has an inexpensive scale bracelet kit.

I agree - very cool earrings! My first thought was "dragon scales". Not only are the scales fascinating, but I also love the ring pattern that joins them.

Bridgette, your earrings are really amazing and cool...not just a design ,,,but workmanship too ( I personally always pay attention on this last "ingredient"...)....and... strictly subjective....would be much more " presentable" with better photo ( sorry....are we allowed to give a little friendly critic on this site?..) ... I myself always struggle with good photos...still do...

You should send your pictures to costume designers in Hollywood. There's a lot of movies and series, like Spartacus on Starz, for example that need jewelry for their actresses. These are perfect! Nice job!
