Steampunk pendant with copper wire rosette
I used sterling silver and copper wire to build this heart-shaped pendant. It is woven together with fine gauge sterling silver, using a block pattern for a mechanical look.
The rosette is formed from copper wire for contrast. I sculpted the remaining sterling silver wire into swirls for a sinuous art nouveau contrast against the mechanical heart.
Sterling silver beads and a garnet bead add twinkle. The pendant is finished off with a garnet teardrop briolette suspended below.
Someone wiser than I once said that steampunk is at the intersection of technology and romance. I think you'll find this heart pendant there, too.
