Meandering Sweater Pin

I've recently began working with wire and have become fascinated with the limitless possibilities of taking a straight piece of wire and twisting it and turning it into something beautiful.

I feel this sweater/shawl pin is my favorite so far and felt it was good enough to share on Rena's site!

I used 16 gauge silver plated wire to create the basic shape, wrapped it with natural copper and dyed copper wire, then embellished it with chocolate brown and light brown pearls.

Artistic pin
by: Rena

I love the artistic freeform wire shape, and the pearls and wire-wraps that dress it up! Also the spiral detail on the pin clasp - very cool.

I really like the contrast of the copper and brown embellishments against the silver wire frame.

I think everything comes together beautifully in this piece. It's asymmetrical yet has a very pleasing sense of balance.

Thanks so much for sharing your lovely pin here with us, Sally!
