Whimsical Moth Pendant

Whimsical Moth Pendant

Marth-ra is a whimsical moth pendant made with quality labradorite, carved bone, sterling silver and 14k gold fill wire.

Her gilded wings were modeled after a lunar moth, hence the name.

The silver swirls on the gold netting are meant to depict movement.

Marth-ra is number three in my Winged Things series. Look for number four soon.

Kathleen,
Thank you so much for the kind comment on Marth-ra. She turned out better than I had imagined - but I have to give credit where credit is due. My Muse made me do it! :)

Thank you Rena! Your comment really made my day. I am happy to share my creations here - where so many share so much that has been a great help to me over the years. You provide a great resouce and medium for the exchange of ideas for so many that I am happy to be able to contribute in any way - even if just in the form of a little eye candy once in a while. :)

Fantastic wirework
by: Didy

You have put that lovely labradorite in the best possible setting. I really admire your wirework. My own always ends up as a jumbled mess as I rush back to my knotting and threading comfort zone...

Lovely work.

Excellent!

I love this piece, and the weaving in the wings had to of taken a lot of time and patience.

Very Nice Job!

Thank you Lisa. :) Yes, the lace work in the wings took a little time for sure - but not as much time as her sister that followed - Madame Flutterbye! I thought I was never going to be done netting those babies up! :)

Thank you for your comment. It is appreciated.

Simply amazing!

I can only hope that I can someday be half this good! Bravo!
