When I design my jewelry, I like to work with both visual texture and movement.
My all time favorite combination of materials to work with has to be sterling silver and fresh water pearls. They just seem to be the perfect compliment to one another.
This piece was inspired by finding some old letter stamps in an antique store and seeing what I could do with them. The pendant is made from stamped sterling silver.
I applied a surface patina to accentuate the textures and then gave it a hand rubbed satin finish. The look is completed with some fresh water pearls for movement.
It can be worn as is, or the pendant can be removed to allow the wearer to just go with the string of pearls. It's a perfect two in one!
