Nuts and seeds make lovely, eco-friendly jewelry components
To design this necklace I got my inspiration from a beautiful city called Montego Bay in Jamaica, very exotic, and very tropical.
My raw material consists of natural seeds from Colombia, South America, (don't worry, no harm is done to the environment).
This necklace has a tagua nut center, four tagua petals, two bombona seeds and four acai seeds (the smallest ones).
Tagua is an eco-friendly nut, also known as vegetable ivory, that grows in the Colombian rainforest, commonly used in South America to make jewelry.
This lightweight seed can be carved, polished, drilled to make small holes and finally dyed with natural extracts and vegetable oils. It is perfect to create unique pieces of jewelry.
Thank you,
Irma Guzman
