My first Queen's Chain

Queen’s Chain, Box Chain

I love the look of chain maille, but most of the weaves are really complicated. So I am learning very slowly. I have looked at a lot of tutorials and watched a lot of you tube videos. But I get so frustrated with the weaves and quit. Then I ran across the box chain. It is such a pretty chain. So I started looking for tutorials for the box chain and found one where they used shower curtain ring to show you the technique. That was great, and easy to see.

So here is my very first box chain, I think it came out pretty good. I made my own jump-rings from aluminum, and formed a little wire heart to hang off the end.

Great job

on your first piece and I am impressed that you picked up the technique from learning by videos. I like the added heart too.

Thanks

Leigh,
Thank you. Actually this weave wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Just holding on to it and getting the two rings spread so I could add the other two was the hard part. I have loved this weave every since I seen it. So happy I now know how to do it.
