Niobium Jewelry

Niobium jewelry is made from a soft, gray metal that's easy to shape and form, and slow to work-harden.

Its main benefit for jewelry artists is that it's hypoallergenic (very unlikely to cause allergic skin reactions), so it's useful in creating earwires and body jewelry - especially for people with metal allergies.

Niobium can be given a colored patina by anodizing it - and when you purchase niobium, it's usually available in a choice of anodized (colored) or non-anodized (natural gray).

The anodized colors are a variety of beautiful shades, of which the fuchsias, blues, and greens tend to be the most popular.

Jewelry artists can find niobium in wire form, as well as already-manufactured earwires and other findings.
