Ocean Splendor

Sliced seashell pendant, adorned with wire and beads.

Sliced seashell pendant, adorned with wire and beads.

Have you ever wondered what the inside of a seashell looks like? I too was curious so I decided to slice a seashell lengthwise on my lapidairy trim saw.

The shell slices were so breathtaking I couldn't get to my bench fast enough to start creating.

I chose .925 Argentium Silver wire and beads as the other components to be used.

After much bending, twisting, hammering and soldering you see before you this refreshingly original pendant.

Simply breathtaking creation, Rena! The wirework almost looks like part of the shell - a beautiful harmony of nature and art.

How are you going to use the other shell slices?

Thank you for sharing this stunning creation with us!

So cool!

A Wonderful Contradiction ...

Very creative! I love the contrast of the shell taken from nature justiposed to the industrial feel of the metal.
