Orange is in!

Wire and chain necklace accented with orange beads Orange glass beads dance on freeform wire links

Orange is generally not a color I'm attracted to in decor, clothes, or jewelry. However, I had some contemporary glass beads left from a custom order that I really liked.

The free form swirls of these links is a nice complement to the bits of orange glass, I think.

18 gauge silver plated wire was used to hand form the links, then hammered for stability. The wire will hammer beautifully, just like sterling wire, if it has does not have a copper core.

Orange you glad you used orange? :o)

I really like the scattering of orange beads here! They're neat accents for the curvy wire links - which I also admire. I tend to avoid using orange, too, although I love orangish amber and any shade of peach. It's amazing how just a touch of orange can give the whole necklace a more vibrant feel!

Really cool idea with the wire link front!
