First pair created
I love swirls! The bigger the better. I remember someone telling me to take inspiration from things I see around me.
I have Photoshop and found a swirl brush that I use often in framing photos, etc. This made me think that maybe I could make a piece of jewelry to match.
They didn't turn out like the Photoshop brush, but more organic and vine-like.
They took some trial and error since I'd never tried to solder to the side of wire before as well as lots of solder to fill the joints to leave a smooth join. This meant lots of grinding afterwards, but I didn't mind. Kind of relaxing.
These are my first pair I made and gave away as an Xmas gift to my friend.
The second photo is a custom pair made for a return customer who saw the first pair on my Facebook page. The third photo shows the "swirls" after the soldering process before pickeling.
I can knock them out in 3 hours now, where the first pair I think took me all day.
Comments and critiques welcome.
Best, Lisa
