Palladium Jewelry

Palladium jewelry is made from a lustrous, silvery-white precious metal that's often used in luxury pieces, as an alternative to platinum or white gold.

In fact, palladium is one of the alloys commonly combined with 24k gold to create white gold.

Because palladium is hypoallergenic, it's often preferred over nickel as a white gold alloy - although of course it makes a much more expensive form of white gold.

Palladium is whiter and harder than platinum.

It doesn't tarnish in air, but it does slowly develop a filmy patina in an atmosphere where sulfur is present.

Annealing palladium makes it soft. It's much harder and stronger when cold-worked.
