This is wearable art of unique character.
A collaboration of original metalsmithing with silver and an oil painting of a lovely pink rose, both handmade with love and passion.
The plain look of the pendant (matte) makes a special combination with the original oil painting of the pink rose, in impressionistic / impasto style.
My husband Cor van der Plaat made this silver (925, first quality) pendant especially for this oil painting I made.
The chain is also sterling silver, first quality, with lobster claw closure, also silver.
As you can see on the pictures, the tiny piece of canvas with the oil painting is sunk into the silver pendant.
Measurements:
Size frame: square 35 mm (without loop) x 3 mm thick.
(square 1.38 inches x 0.12 inches)
Chain: 45 cm, extra: extension silver piece 5 cm
(17.7 inches + 2 inches extension piece)
Weight of the pendant: 30 gram, massive silver.
On the back of the pendant is a tiny mark ".925".
The painting is on canvas, glued into the pendant and varnished for protection.
We loved making this necklace!
