Purple fading into black - asymmetry and harmony

Purple fading into black - asymmetry and harmony

I've started making polymer clay pretty recently but already have fallen in love with abilities that it provides for searching and creative mind!

I am totally obsessed now and can't stop making new things and perfecting myself!

This necklace was created when I wanted to make something unusual, play with color and forms. Sort of Dali-like creative insanity... I am very satisfied with it!

It is made completely of polymer clay and baked, each of the elements has a metal frame inside for additional support.

Beads are covered with spiral cane in different patterns. What I love about this piece is its asymmetry which is still full of harmony... it makes me think about the whole Universe order and our place in it.

I also just love how purple gradually turns into black. What a gorgeous color combination!

Very cool, Olga - I love the bold shapes and color scheme!

I laughed when you said "Dali-like creative insanity" - I know just what you mean, and now I know the name for it! :o)

Also, it's neat to know you used metal supports inside the pieces - it's wonderful when jewelry is sturdy as well as artistic.

Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic, creative design here!

thanks!

Thank you, Rena! It's always nice to know that someone else also likes something crazy you make! It means I am sane :D
