Rain in the Dawn

by Mallori
(Illinois)

This piece was a custom order for a girlfriend of a really good friend of mine.
Her name is Dawn. He told me her name, that she liked blue and flowers.
Well her name is what inspired this piece. In the end this is one of my favorite...and will prob start a collection of similar pieces.

Made with green and blue multicolor seed beads and Czech glass tube beads, silver czech glass tube beads, two green Fire polished Czech glass beads, three Dark green Fire polished Czech glass beads, one silver...One Italian glass Lampwork bead, and two Swarvoski black pearl beads. Along with Silver chain trough out, and a metal toggle clasp.

To say the least, she loves it, and has brought me some business with her Salon!! :)

Nice

Next time you take a picture, take a lighter background to get more contrast and the necklace is easier to see.

Thanks for the tip...

I am actually purchasing a velvet necklace display today, and will be positioning the light better to take all of my pics over again. I just loved this piece and had to show it!! Thank you for the feedback though....all critiques are always welcome!! :)

Great colors

Love the color combo in this piece. Dawn is a lucky lady to receive such a beautiful personalized necklace

Regarding pictures taking. I'm just a point and shoot type girl. No fancy light box, but I do take them outside in natural light. The biggest discovery to improvements has been with the free photo editing site called picnic. Love it! Just upload your photo and play around with all the tools...sharpen, resize, crop, color, saturation, etc... Easy to use.
Then, have great fun with adding text and a variety of frames.
I highly recommend checking it out.
