I wanted to make a colorful, tropical necklace (and use these funky beads!) and this is what I created.

The sleek red flower petals in this round polymer clay pendant were individually placed and sit in relief on a background of lime green and dark blue.

A dot pattern adds detail to the petals.

The pendant has been cured, hand sanded and buffed to a soft shine.

The back of the pendant is textured dark blue.

A strand of dark blue lapis, metal, red jasper, green aventurine and funky wood beads complete the necklace.

That's a green aventurine cabochon in the center of the pendant.

Tropical flower magic

This is so neat, Lorraine. I love how you've carried the pendant's colors up into the necklace strand.

The bright flower looks like it's peeking out of a green, shady garden - and the green aventurine cabochon makes a wonderful flower center!
