Red Twist Earrings SterlingCrystal
There is approximately 2.5 metres of Sterling Silver coiled into these compact earrings!
It is so much fun to make these beads, and I really like how they look on their own, but this time I thought that perhaps they could be dressed up. I have added red coated aluminium wire to give them a burst of colour.
In a way, they remind me of the old barber shop poles. Dangling from the bottom of the earrings are some tiny handmade artisan lampwork beads by Elizabeth Herren.
These earrings represent a new direction for me - the inclusion of a metal other than sterling silver. I'll let you into another little secret - I don't really like red! I just thought it would really pop against the sterling.
