Ring Turned Pendant

Ring turned pendant

Ring turned pendant

This was a ring I created similiar to the one I saw here called Ring of Armor.

Of course I did not solder mine but left it flexible.

When I took it off it fell on the bathroom counter and this is what I saw!

Thought that with a little work this would make a nice pendant or earring.

Any comments?

Nice work

Lovely craftsmanship!

It does make an interesting pendant, doesn't it? I can imagine some cool chainwork turning it into a necklace.

Would it be heavy for an earring?

I have never worn earings so I can't be sure but they are tiny rings and don't seem heavy to me. I need someone else to let me know

What size in wire gauge and mandrel are you using?

They are 1/8" 18 ga argentium silver

Weigh them

18 ga sounds kinda heavy to me. Weigh it, I'm thinking under 8g or so isn't out of the norm?
