Zebra Crossing - handmade wire brooch

Zebra Crossing - handmade wire brooch

Zebra Crossing - handmade wire brooch

My first venture - or should I say adventure - into making brooches.

What a hoot it was bending and shaping that wire till I had my way with it. Or, maybe it had its way with me:)

One of the coolest beads I had in my collection was the vintage murano glass zebra bead. Deciding on other larger holed beads to go with it was a bit of a challenge but everyone played together nicely so I think it worked out just fine in the end.

What a neat artistic brooch! Love the energetic line of the wire, and the cool collection of beads strung on the pin.

Especially awesome piece for being your first brooch - I'm looking forward to seeing some of your future ones! Great work.

Very nice. This would be great on shawls and scarves. And I'm a sucker for anything with an African theme.
