Samantha Baroque Earrings

Rose quartz in sterling silver

Rose quartz in sterling silver

I enclosed a couple of rose quartz cabs in sterling silver wire, then sculpted a baroque-style motif above.

Then I used fine-gauge sterling silver wire to "stitch" some silver beads to the design for accent.

Finally I antiqued the silver to create depth.

I designed the motif as part of a bracelet, and I thought it would look good on earrings too.

Incredibly precise wirework
by: Rena

Kristine, I always think your wirework is among the most precise I've ever seen.

Incredible job, as always, on making this pair identical - especially with small square cabs (which I find very challenging to wrap)!

Thank you for posting these earrings here!

All thanks to you, Rena...

Incredible wirewrapping - I can't imagine how you did that! It's all I can do to make a simple wrapped loop :)

Amazingly Handmade
by: Sam of SterlingCrystal

When I first saw these I assumed that the wirework was a purchased, perhaps cast piece. I am completely blown away that these are completely handmade! Your work is incredible, congratulations.
