Sea of Tranquility Necklace

Handmade hollow glass beads, combined with kyanite and aquamarine, and fashioned into a necklace

This piece began with making the handmade hollow glass beads. They are very large hollows, with fine silver embedded, which reminded me of stars.

I then combined them with top drilled kyanite and aquamarine to create this necklace.

HI! TX for sharing I like it a lot and I'm interested to know how you market it?

IOW's, whole sale or retail and do you mind giving an idea of your asking price as that would be helpful to know.

tx for considering!

You have chosen my favorite colors, and any reference to water or the sea always gets my attention! I find myself making a lot of blue, aqua jewelry. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Thanks and marketing
by: Patricia Carberry

Thanks, for your kind words, Karen.

Claire, I'm trying all sorts of new ways to market. I used to do shows and events, but that seems to be winding down. Right now, I have a business manager/publicity /website person. I'm trying to market to individuals through small trunk shows and home parties. I also participate in 2 art events on Prescott.

I do very little wholesale, as I try to keep my costs down. I won't do consignment. I'm finding that I need to flow with the parts that are working, and let go of the ones that don't

For wholesale, they want you to design for the marketplace. I'm trying to find a market for what I already do. Slow but this year has been good so far. Several clients have had me design high end pieces for them.

I haven't totally decided on a price for the necklace yet (just finished it), but I'm thinking around $650.

Feel free to ask me anything you'd like to know.

All best,

Patricia
