Snoshells necklace White shells and freshwater pearls with gold findings and Swarovski crystals

I got an idea from a necklace that I saw on Etsy. A beautiful sea shell necklace made with all white shells and a touch of gold.

I had to make one of my own, so I did.

Mine is a bit smaller than the one I had seen but it turned out just as beautiful.

I started this project last summer and didn't get around to finishing it till just recently, this summer.

I used whatever white shells, the smallest ones I could find, and drilled holes in them so that I could wire them on.

I added different sizes of freshwater pearls, some gold findings and Swarovski crystals.

Treasure from the deep
by: Rena

Simply beautiful, Margaret! I love how you've clustered the shells and pearls - it has a very "found in nature" feel. Are they wired onto a backing, or to each other?

Gold is a lovely accent to these sea treasures - it's perfect for bringing out the creamy warmth of the pearls.

A lovely project stretching out over two summers!
